One really difficult thing that Haiti faces is not only the funding to build schools and operate them, but also having teachers who have been trained to think outside of the box. Much of the education in Haiti is still simply the teachers at the front of the classroom, speaking to the children and rote memorization. We know that technique is very old and does not work for a large % of us.
We are so grateful to partner with P4H Global as they provide trainings, certifications, and year long follow up with our teachers, in school. The program is 4 years and we are in year 2. Our teachers have absolutely loved it. They are motivated, inspired, and empowered!
We have 42 teachers taking the training this year.
