Kyle Friant is an accomplished individual who has been involved with Haitian Roots for many years. In 2003 he was voted in by the board of directors to serve as the executive director. Kyle has a Bachelor of Science from Utah State University and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah. He is licensed to practice law in Utah. He has managed more than a dozen political campaigns and helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for candidates and causes. Kyle is committed to the long-term growth and success of Haitian Roots.

Kyle lives in Salt Lake City and is passionate about education and service. "When I was 8 years old, I began to volunteer with Haitian Roots. I fell in love with the people of Haiti and saw what access to education has meant for the people," said Fraint, "In the midst of natural disasters and political unrest, Haitian Roots has provided a sanctuary and normalcy to hundreds of children and their families."

 

Kyle has a brother who was adopted from Haiti, which has inspired his family’s involvement with Haitian Roots for many years. In his free time, Kyle enjoys traveling, hiking and trying new foods. He also enjoys listening to podcasts and constantly learning new things.
